Do i need a consultation?
Not always... but before any treatment is carried out a medical assessment is completed to ensure you are able to go ahead with the procedure, these forms can be emailed to you prior to your treatment.
If you would like to meet for a consultation before treatment please call 07766657855
Do i need a patch test?
Tattooing is a non-chemical reaction process, however we do like to patch test products such as Anaesthetics, and Pigments.
Patch Tests can be posted out or please pop into the clinic minimum 24 hours before treatment.
Why do i need a second treatment?
All NEW clients with “virgin” skin will require a second treatment from 4 weeks after the first.
This second treatment is a must and is included in the pricing structure, this will be booked after your initial treatment.
During the healing process your body will remove some pigment via it's own unique waste removal system. More ink is lost via the external healing process, in shedding of skin. Once the healing process is finished we will assess how much pigment has held in the skin. This may be nearly 90% or as little as 30%, this is down to YOUR skin and how it holds the ink particles.
Why might my skin not hold the ink?
If your skin is Sun Damaged (from holidays or sunbeds) if you have enlarged pores, oily or ruddy Skin
Skin conditions such as Acne, Rosacea, or Psorisis will all affect the condition of the skin.
Remember your skin is like a canvas not a sheet of paper, it will need to be good condition for it to hold the pigment. There are so many variables when it comes to skin results can not be guaranteed.
How long will it take?
Allow 2 1/2 hours for all first time treatments. In this time we allocate a 20-30 minute consultation, 20 mins pre-numb, forms and pre-draw. Actual treatment time is around 60-90 minutes.
Colour Boost 2nd treatments can take anything from 1 - 1.5 hours depending on the amount of colour retained in the skin.
Does it hurt?
I think you will be pleasantly surprised!
With the use of a pre-numb agent the feeling is very comfortable - most people describe it as a little scratchy to begin with, everyone has their own pain threshold so some will feel it more than others. On a scale of 1-5 ( 1 being no pain, 5 being extremely painful) the majority of clients say it feels around a 1.5!
Do you shave my brows off?
Often I get asked this and I absolutely do not. I work with the existing hairs you have. If you don’t have any hairs at all again this isn’t a problem and I will give you back the brows you once had.
During the procedure I pluck any hairs that fall outside of the design template. Once you are fully healed you can then use the new shape as a template for future brow perfecting treatments such as tinting, waxing or threading.
Why Is the aftercare so important?
On the day of treatment you will leave the clinic with a barrier cream on the area. This will act like a second skin and sooth and protect the skin post treatment. We will give you a pot or sachet of ointment to apply morning and night until the area is fully healed - please see aftercare guide.
